I honestly have THE BEST friends – no question.
They’re gorgeous,
kind – hearted,
HILARIOUS,
SUPER FREAKIN’ SMART (seriously, she’s a doctor)
and lucky enough for me, they play along with my psycho tendencies, and when I
feel like I haven’t taken enough portraits, they get in the car with me and let me
take their picture (and play along when I order them around).
I’ve known Savannah since I was in a walker (literally). My great-aunt used to babysit
the both of us and I would come home with an orange head because she would eat
Cheetos all day and then rub my baby buddha head. Luckily for me we’ve remained
close for the past 20 some-odd years and she was more than ready to ride with me
on the breathtaking Blue Ridge Parkway (I could literally go on for days about the beauty
and how important the mountains I call home are – they’re seriously everything – UGH).
We laughed, we danced, we sang, we talked about boys – it felt like we were in college again.
FUN FACT: We lived together freshman year of college and our rooms
were across the hall from each other. One night, there was a slew of tornados
in the area and her PSYCHO ASS started watching videos on YouTube of the
biggest tornadoes she could find and then we sat in our neighbors bathtub for
over an hour and she laughed – the. entire. time.
Seriously disturbed – right?
We had the most magical evening, mixed with sunshine and the perfect temperature
and laughter and I am SO excited to share these with you.
